Alison Vaughan
As the Digital Collections Advisor at MEL, I’m responsible for ensuring that our herbarium specimen data is as well-managed and fit-for-purpose as possible. I maintain and develop our Specify collections management system and have helped other Australian herbaria implement Specify for their collections.
I also have a strong interest in botanical history (particularly the contribution of women to botany) and am passionate about making natural history collections more accessible – and better appreciated – through social history and storytelling.
