Alfonsina Arriaga Jiménez
I'm an early career researcher with a current postdoctoral position at the University of New England, Armidale. I'm interested mainly in dung beetles biogeography, ecology, and behaviour; but also work with other insects and invertebrates (native bees, velvet ants and mites). For the past few years, I worked mainly in sky islands (isolated mountain ranges) and islands in Mexico. I have IUCN red list experience in Mediterranean and Mexican dung beetles. My current project in Australia is with native dung beetles in elevation and vegetation gradients, as well as decomposition rates of organic matter.
