Australian Journal of Taxonomy is an online platform for the rapid publication of new Australian taxa. It accepts taxonomic and nomenclatural papers on Australian animals, algae, fungi, plants and other eukaryotic organisms. It is ideal for publishing new species and infra-species, in single-species or miscellany papers or in small revisions. Each issue will comprise a single paper. 

The first issue comprises an introductory paper to the journal.
