Diagnostic description.

Female. Body size 9.7 mm, ovipositor length 7.7 mm, fore wing length 7.9 mm (Fig. 43); colouration head and mesosoma black, mandibles, fore and mid legs orange, antenna mostly dark brown except apical half of flagellomere 7, flagellomeres 8–10, and basal half of flagellomere 11 cream-coloured, metasoma orange; wings hyaline except for indistinct infuscation of distal quarter of 1st marginal and 4th submarginal cell (Fig. 44G), hind wing veins largely spectral, some pigmentation of Cu vein; head quadrate, width 1.4 × length, postocular space 0.6 × eye length in dorsal view (Fig. 44C), raised transverse carina above toruli absent, malar space 0.1 × height of eye (Fig. 44A); length of scape 1.8 × pedicel length, 1st flagellomere 1.3 × length of scape, 0.7 × 2nd flagellomere; mesosoma length 1.5 × height, mesoscutum in lateral view rounded antero-dorsally (Fig. 44D), length 0.8 × width in dorsal view (Fig. 44E); medial lobe reticulate–rugulose; ovipositor guide oblique, positioned medially; ovipositor sheath length 1.0 × fore wing length (Fig. 43); fore wing vein 2-Rs+M 0.8 × 1-Rs+M, three hamuli equidistant (Fig. 44G); metasoma clavate,T1+T2 length 4.3 × width in dorsal view.

Material examined.

Holotype. AUSTRALIA – Queensland • ♀,"Mt. Glorious, Qld. Jan 25.". (ANIC).

Distribution

Aulacus glorious is known only from the holotype locality, Mount Glorious, Queensland (Fig. 93).
